Chamonix Mont Blanc France sits at the foot of the magnificent Mount Blanc in the French Alps and is often regarded as the climbing and snowboarding capital of the Alps. Chamonix Mont Blanc is well know as a true playground for sports in winter and summer. Chamonix was home to the inaugural Olympics back in the early 1920s - furthermore it is also an area of exceptional views providing a lot to the adventurous climber and holiday maker.

However unlike a lot of new snowboarding towns the resort of Chamonix isn’t a purpose built snowboarding resort and has been largely saved from the modern monstrosities that blight much of the French resorts. It’s also worth visiting Chamonix and the alps in summer. It is fortunate to have not only an internationally renowned ski field but a turn of the century and busy town centre.

It is big enough to insure that there’s a lot for the holiday maker to see. Whatever the pace of your trip there is an activity to enrapture everyone. From a big swimming and sports centre, beauty salons, casino and weekly market; and a plethora of boutiques, restaurants and night clubs, it privides a combination of skiing, old town charm and going out, that only a few skiing domains can come close to. Therefore book that skiing vacation straight away.
